Jermaine Paul - YES

Okay so after my ranting at Chris Brown, here is the opposite for Jermaine Paul.

Say Yes

I love this man. He can do no wrong in my eyes and when he is singing Floetry cover, 'All you gotta do is say yes,' I am sitting at my computer saying, 'Yes, YES, YESSSS!!'

Finest backup singer in the history of time.

P.S. He's the man, not the chick-who-I-tried-to-crop-off-my-future-boyfriend

Chris Brown - For serious?

Chris Brown Scowling

Chris Brown has been ripped to shreds by the media lately and I am so confused. It just seems that he is completely unapologetic about it all.

Like 'oh Media you're so interrupting my hedonistic lifestyle, just fuck off so I can beat up more women.'

Now I am all for rehabilitation and I think that everyone deserves a second chance, that it is better to take preventative measures to ensure that these problems are lessened in the future rather than living in a punishment-based society but he appears to lack any remorse whatsoever.

I know that some will say 'Maori Girl, we don't know the circumstances, we shouldn't judge, we don't know all the facts.'

To that I say: irrelevant. Regardless of what happened, he needs to realise:
1. A picture of his battered on-again/off-again appeared EVERYWHERE.
2. He has made no measure of compensation to the public/his fans/the media who made him and ensured that he could afford those beautiful kicks of his.
3. From my knowledge, he has made no public apology himself to Rihanna, a woman he purportedly loves (press releases from in-between men do not count).

The Media made you, believed in you and supported you, and she is a very fickle mistress. If you mess up, then fess up. Show some humility and be a man because otherwise what kind of
example are you to young men the world over. 'Oh I'm gonna beat up my bitch and then I'll go on to make shitloads of money.'

And Rihanna what are you doing going back to him. Battered wives syndrome much?!?

Again, I do not know all of the details, and there are two sides to every story but whether you like or not you are a role model and going back to this man (if the rumours are to be believed) is telling young girls, 'Hey, hey just stay with him, because if you wanna be all hot and rich and awesome like me, you'll learn to take a beating, woman. Get back in the kitchen.'

There's also a not much talked about aspect to this tale in that Chris Brown you're not even that good at singing, your songs are formulaic and suck. Hard. You're just the regugitation of greatness past. Recede into the background and appear on SYTYCD Season 20 on the cusp of turning 30, then disappear into obscurity save for a few appearances on future "The View", hosted by a wilted Miley Cyrus and cybertronic Barbara Walters, and let that be the end of it. My 2 cents long before the Rihanna scandal broke.

Let's stop supporting mediocrity tatou and let this be an awesome opportunity to tell our young girls, that if a man was ever to hurt them like that, then that man would have to claim sanctuary in Russia to avoid the wrath of a whanau's love and vengeance.

Sorry, that was quite ranty, I promise more positivity in the future
